A planet without law

With the indiscriminate destruction rendering large sections of Coruscant without power, services, or law, citizens are forced to take matters into their own hands. Unfortunately, years of rule by the Imperial overlords has removed any individual thought or organizational ability from 99% of the population. The segment of the population with skills and abilities to survive a loss of power and direction turned out to be the least acceptable population on the planet, criminals.

Those despised few that lived life off the Imperial grid possessed the skills and resources needed when the grid was destroyed by the bombardment from returning Imperial ships. Any pockets of rebel influence would have been able to rally citizens against their newly destructive Imperial rulers. Unfortunately, these same rebels were some of the first groups destroyed by the returning fleet. With uncanny accuracy, all rebel pockets of influence were wiped out in the first few hours of the Imperials return - wiped out, all of them.

A New Threat Revealed

By now, more rumors and speculation had reached the populace about the battle around the Endor Moon. The Emperor was dead, killed by Darth Vader, and a hero of the rebellion, Luke Skywalker (who perished from his wounds). Even though he was also gravely wounded in the battle with the Emperor, Lord Vader seemed to directing the fleet with the help of a new Dark Clad female figure. Rumors said that she was the one that had rescued him from the doomed space station. Another nearly unbelievable rumor said that she was Leia Organa, hero of the Rebel alliance and responsible for getting the plans to the first Death Star. But, that would explain her disappearance from the force that infiltrated the shield generator on Endor, and her continued absence.

There were even those few who had been near the pair as the plotted their attacks on rebel bases and positions that had overheard the most unbelievable thing. They said that she referred to him as "father".

Our Saga Returns - Darker and more Flavorful

With the second Death Star destroyed, the universe celebrated its freedom - for about 48 hours. Then rumors of an Imperial fleet gathering around a new leader started circulating. Forty eight hours after that, the fleet arrived in orbit around Coruscant. The token Rebel fleet that had managed to make it to the center of government was wiped out in a short, one-sided battle.

With uncanny accuracy, Rebel strongholds, even those thought secret and known to only a select few were destroyed by bombardment or raid....

But it was Coruscant that suffered the most. Areas of the planet-wide city were destroyed indiscriminately, as if whoever was directing the destruction was conflicted about which side deserved obliteration more, Imperial or Rebel. Or perhaps, it was just hate, pure hate without a direction just a purpose.
